Peshawar. Minister for Health Shahram Khan Tarakai said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s dream to reform the health sector and facilitate patients from financially challenged backgrounds has been realised. He said this while talking to the media at Hayatabad Medical Complex.

Earlier he had been briefed by the management of HMC on a three-year plan for development and rehabilitation, as well as the pace of implementation of Medical Teaching Institutions (MTI) Act 2015 at the hospital. “HMC Board of Governors has taken some exemplary steps under the MTI reforms act,” he said. “The act will be extended to other K-P hospitals so health facilities are accessible by all,” Tarakai added.

“The K-P government wanted to change the decades-old system and now this is under way,” Tarakai said. “With latest technology being adopted and paperless environment being introduced, patients will not be rushing from one room to the other,” Tarakai said.
