The International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD) in Nepal has agreed to help Gilgit Baltistan (GB) government in formulating `agriculture policy’. “ICIMOD will extend full support to the G-B government in formulating agriculture policy,” a press release issued from the Chief Minister’s Secretariat on Saturday said. The understanding was reached during a meeting of G-B Chief Minister Hafeez Ur Rehman with ICIMOD chief Dr David James Molden in Kathmandu, Nepal. The GB Chief Minister was on an official visit to Nepal to learn the best practices adopted by the country in the agricultural field. The ICIMOD’s willingness has come days before the G-B government formally launches a multi-million agriculture development project funded by the International Fund for Agricultural Development.
