Poor cleanliness: Food production unit sealed

Both outlets had broken, dirty freezers and lacked proper cleanliness arrangements

LAHORE: The Gulberg Town team of Punjab Food Authority (PFA) sealed Bundu Khan Restaurant’s production unit on Thursday over poor cleanliness arrangements. The team seized expired food items and rotten meat from freezers that were also found dirty. Medical certificates of food handlers provided by the restaurant management were also found to be fakes. Submarine near Main Market and Shaukat Hotel in Canal Park were shut after rats were detected in production areas. Both outlets had broken, dirty freezers and lacked proper cleanliness arrangements. Jawa Restaurant, Waqas Sweets’ food manufacturing facility and Madina Milk Shop in Nishtar Town were fined.
