SHABQADAR:

A Frontier Constabulary (FC) platoon consisting of 30 to 40 personnel has been deployed inside Bacha Khan University (BKU) after it signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the FC.

BKU’s Public Relations officer Saeed Khan Khalil while giving details of the MoU to The Express Tribune said that after questions were raised over university’s security from some circles, the administration decided to hire a retired Army colonel for managing campus security.

He said that the officer had been hired and 10 Charsadda police personnel have also been deployed besides the FC along with the university’s own security guards to ensure security.

He stated that the walls have been fenced with barbed wire and CCTV cameras and walk-through gates have been installed.
