Raid: Proclaimed offender held

The suspect was shifted to an undisclosed location for further investigation

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Islamabad zone on Monady arrested proclaimed offender Liaqat Ali, former superintendent of Air Weapon Complex Wah Cantonment during a raid at a hideout in Rawalpindi. The accused was wanted to the police under (FIR 110/2013). The proclaimed offender has been on the run for the last three years. The accused was arrested from Adiala Road Rawalpindi after three unsuccessful raids conducted at Chak Bali, Dhamia and Adiala. The accused was involved in making and subsequently reimbursing fake fuel bills and embezzling over Rs200 million. The suspect was shifted to an undisclosed location for further investigation.
