Partnership: 4G research lab planned

Both LUMS and Zong have inked a strategic partnership for the development of the centre

ISLAMABAD: The Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) would have a state-of-the-art 4G research lab, aimed at providing an opportunity to students to polish their academic endeavours on latest technology lines. The Centre, costing $1 million, would be developed in collaboration with China Mobile Pakistan (Zong). Both LUMS and Zong have inked a strategic partnership for the development of the centre. Zong’s Chairman & Chief Executive Officer Liu Dianfeng said China Mobile Pakistan was committed to investing in Pakistan for a long-term to enable the country to reach new heights of development. “This partnership is the latest of such commitments.” As per details, three In-Building Solutions (IBSs) would be installed and a Mini-Customer Services Centre (CSC) would be set up at LUMS as part of the research lab.
