No Casualties: Fire breaks out in office

KARACHI: A fire broke out in an office located in the multi-storey Business and Finance Centre on II Chundrigar Road, one of the busiest commercial centres in the city. The fire erupted on the ninth floor of the building at around 9:30am. The fire brigade spokesperson said that after receiving information about the fire, one snorkel and five fire tenders were immediately dispatched to the site, adding that the firefighters took at least half an hour to douse the fire. The spokesperson said that no one was hurt in the fire as the office was closed when it began. The cause of the fire has yet to be ascertained.
