World Press Freedom Day today

ISLAMABAD: The World Press Freedom Day will be observed in Pakistan with the pledge to continue the struggle for access to information and a free press on Monday.

To mark the importance of the day, Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists will carry out a rally and pay homage to the journalists who laid down their lives in the line of duty in various parts of the country.

The rally led by President Federal Union of Journalists, Pervez Shaukat will start from Islamabad and culminate in Lahore, passing through various cities along the GT Road. This time the theme for World Press Freedom Day is "Freedom of Information".
