PESHAWAR:

The K-P Provincial Civil Service (PCS) Officers Association called upon the speaker of the provincial assembly to resolve their long-standing issue of services. According to a press release issued by the officers late Thursday, PCS officers approached the K-P Assembly to resolve the matter of Provincial Management Services versus Pakistan Administrative Services (PAS) under Article 240 (b) of the Constitution whereby posting of PAS officers in the province is illegal and injustice to 600 PCS/PMS officers.

However, the matter has been stuck with the standing committee on law reforms and subordinate legislation for more than a year now, the press release stated.

In order to seek justice for 600 PCS/PMS officers and save the future of hundreds of young officers, a meeting of PMS officers will soon be held at the Civil Secretariat Peshawar wherein a strategy would be announced for strikes and sit-ins.
