PESHAWAR: The provincial government will announce its first livestock policy soon. This was revealed at a seminar organised by Poultry Doctors Forum (PDF) at Usmania Restaurant in the city on Thursday. The event was attended by Special Assistant to the CM on Livestock and Dairy Development Mohibullah Khan and a large number of farmers. Mohibullah vowed to introduce the livestock policy soon. “PDF will be taken onboard to devise this policy,” he said. During the seminar, farmers urged the government to announce rates for poultry products by accounting for prices in other parts of the country, especially Punjab. This will ensure people of the province benefit from affordable rates, said farmers. Mohibullah issued directives to revamp the Poultry Development Board to ensure challenges faced by the sector are resolved.
