Naushki raid: FC seizes 54 IEDs, 10,000kg explosives
The paramilitary force detected a roadside IED in the Pir Shari area
QUETTA:
The security forces seized 54 IEDs and over 10,000 kilogrammes of explosives in an intelligence-based raid at a hideout in Naushki district that lies near Afghan border. The spokesman of the Frontier Corps said that unidentified militants had brought in the explosives from Afghanistan for subversive activities in Balochistan. Militants have shifted their focus on Balochistan following military operations in Fata. Separately, FC foiled a bid of terror attack on security forces in Dera Bugti. The paramilitary force detected a roadside IED in the Pir Shari area. Unidentified insurgents had planted the bomb to target the patrol of security forces, FC spokesman said.
