Whodunnit? District councillor killed in Swabi

The police have not been able to ascertain the motive behind the killings

SWABI: Unidentified men gunned down an Awami National Party district councillor along with her daughter and son in Pir Tab Banda, Maneri in Swabi on Wednesday. A police official told The Express Tribune ANP district councillor Razia Bibi, her daughter Khaees and son Arbaz Khan were killed when unidentified men barged into their house and opened fire on them. Razia Bibi’s stepson, Muhammad Israr, told the police he heard gunshots at around 3am. He did not know where the sound came from and eventually went back to sleep. The following morning, the bodies of Razia Bibi, Arbaz and Khaees were found at the house. The police have not been able to ascertain the motive behind the killings. An FIR has been registered and investigation is under way. The deceased were laid to rest in a graveyard of Pir Tab Banda.
