Official of water resources dept gunned down in Quetta

Unidentified gunman shoot dead Deputy Director of the Water Resources Department, Abdul Jabbar.

QUETTA:

The Deputy Director of the Water Resources Department, Abdul Jabbar, was shot dead on the airport road in Quetta on Saturday.

Police sources said unidentified gunmen opened fire on the vehicle of the victim due which Jabbar died at the spot. The police have not confirmed any possible links into the killing and are still uncertain if any personal animosities led to his killing.

Security forces have cordoned the area off and started a search operation to arrest those responsible for the killing.

Target killings and forced disappearances have been simmering issues in Balochistan leading to many protests in the province.
