Abhishek Bachchan surely knows that he is yet to witness the stardom his father, Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan, has achieved.

Despite being a star-kid, the Happy New Year actor feels that he has a long way to go and he admitted that he isn't "being over-modest" when he rated himself below 10 on an acting scale of 0-100.

In a recent interview with SkjBollywood News, Junior Bachchan said that he has only gone to level "9 or 10" as far as his acting is concerned.

"As an actor, I’ve only gone to 9 or 10 on a scale of 100. And I’m not being over-modest," he said.

"That isn’t enough. In today’s age the audiences want even a new actor to go to 80-90 in the very first film. And why shouldn’t they? I’m lucky to have got the chance that I’ve because of my parents," he added.

If we give a flop film, people stop taking our calls: Abhishek Bachchan

With parents like Big B and veteran actor Jaya Bachchan, Abhishek was raised up by the acting institutions themself, but he isn't keen on sharing the golden advice.

"I know I come from a family where both my parents are distinguished actors. But I’m not going to tell you what tips they’ve given me on acting. That would be like revealing a dark and deep family secret (sighs). I’m improving. But I think I’m beginning to grasp my body language," said the actor.

Abhishek also spoke at length about his Bollywood journey so far. He shared that he is happy with all of his films. "Not just as an actor but also in their totality. A career in acting is a process of learning. One has to go through the lows to reach the highs," he said.

All that glitters is not gold

"No matter what their box-office outcome was, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed working in all films so far. I’ll always  stand by these films, and all my films to come," he added.

But that doesn't mean his quest for good roles has stopped here. "I’m constantly searching for right roles that I can do full justice to," said Abhishek.

"I’m slowly discovering myself as an actor. Once I get the basics right, I think I’ll find my niche," he added.
