PSL 2016: Zalmi trounce Qalandars by nine wickets

Lahore Qalandards were restricted to 117 for eight in their 20 overs

Tamim Iqbal and Mohammad Hafeez put up a 95-run opening stand to propel Peshawar Zalmi to their second consecutive win in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) as they beat Lahore Qalandars by nine wickets at the Dubai International Stadium.


Getting a modest target of 118, Zalmi moved at a rapid pace and chased down the total with four overs to spare as they ended up with 118 for one. Tamim remained unbeaten on 55 as he struck seven boundaries while Hafeez got out after scoring 43 in which he clubbed three sixes and as many boundaries.


The soliatary wicket was taken by Ajantha Mendis.


Eariler, Lahore Qalandards were restricted to 117 for eight in their 20 overs.


Qalandars had a terrible start as their star man Chris Gayle got out on a golden duck to Junaid Khan.
