MULTAN: No Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flights took off from Multan Airport on Friday as the strike by protesting PIA workers entered the fourth day.
Scores of PIA employees, activists of the National Bank of Pakistan Employees Union, Railway Union and traders staged a demonstration in front of the airport and chanted slogans against the government.
Former foreign minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi also participated in the protest.
Addressing the protesters, Qureshi said the government had withheld important information about privatisation of the PIA from the public.”
