CPEC Western Route: BoI chief says work going on at fast pace
The CPEC would help overcome energy shortage in the country, he said
ISLAMABAD:
Board of Investment (BoI) Chairman Miftah Ismail has said that speedy work on the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC)’s western route has been started. It was beyond comprehension why some elements were making the CPEC controversial as all provinces would enjoy equal benefits from the corridor, he said while talking to PTV. Ismail said $46 billion investment through the CPEC would bring economic revolution in the country and termed the corridor a game-changer for the country and region. The CPEC would help overcome energy shortage in the country, he added. Ismail stated China was keenly interested in investing in Pakistan due to prudent policies, which provided an enabling environment to foreign investors.
