A huge explosion at the Karbala Maula Imambargah on January 30, 2015, had claimed 65 lives and injured more than 50 people. Thousands of mourners gathered to pay homage to the martyrs. A heavy contingent of the police and Rangers was deployed throughout the city.
On the occasion, Shia leaders belonging to different organisations strongly condemned the incidents of terrorism across the country.
