MASTUNG: A Balochistan Liberation Armv (BLA) commander was killed in an exchange of fire between suspected militants and security forces in Killi Datu on Saturday.

BLA Commander Ashraf was killed during an exchange of fire between suspected militants and Frontier Corps (FC) personnel.

Three militants killed, two held in Balochistan

"Five militants were killed while three managed to escape from the site," a police spokesperson said, while adding that the suspects were involved in previous attacks on security forces, target killings and other terrorist activities.

According to reports, FC personnel recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition from the militants’ possession.

Separately, unidentified armed men on Saturday opened fire at a convoy of security forces, near Mastung's Kanak-Daranger area.

Security forces replied befittingly' to the firing killing two suspected militants.
