SUKKUR: The body of a young man, identified as Asad Junejo, was found stuffed in a bag at National Highway near Cadet College, Ghotki, situated within the limits of the Sarhad police station on Tuesday. Asad had gone missing on last Sunday.

Asad, 24, son of schoolteacher Muhammad Siddiq Junejo, a resident of Ghota Muhalla, Ghotki, had gone missing last Sunday night. His father informed the police, who started looking for the young man but to no avail. On Tuesday, someone informed the Sarhad police about a bag lying near the Cadet College. The police rushed to the scene and found a body in the bag and shifted it to Taluka Hospital, Ghotki, for postmortem.

According to the doctors, torture marks were visible on the body, due to which it could be said that the man was first tortured and then strangled to death. Muhammad Siddiq told the local reporters that he was a poor schoolteacher and did not have enmity with anyone.

He demanded the government refer the murder case to the military court. The police are investigating the matter. A case has yet to be registered.
