Lack of empowerment: Karak district councillor resigns

Muhammad Umar is also a prominent social activist

KARAK: Taking a stance against what local government representatives consider a lack of empowerment of the grass root system, Karak district councillor Muhammad Umar Khattak decided to tender his resignation. The decision was intimated to the district naib nazim. When contacted on Wednesday, Muhammad Umar confirmed handing in his resignation and said it has been sent through his son to district naib nazim Major (Retd) Sajjad Barakwaal. Muhammad Umar is also a prominent social activist.
