Police action: Kidnapped baby recovered, couple held

TAXILA: The Taxila police on Monday recovered a six-month-old baby and arrested the alleged kidnappers. The police said the baby girl, identified as Hiba Noor, had allegedly been kidnapped by a couple, who also happened to be her relative, from a house in the Malikabad area a few days ago. The police said Firasat Bibi and her husband Sartaj Khan had kidnapped the baby. The police launched search after Mirajud Din, the father of the kidnapped baby, filed a case. The police traced the alleged kidnappers with the help of mobile phone records and other clues. The accused were sent to jail after they were produced before a local court.
