Charsadda assault: Pak expats deplore varsity attack

Pakistan consul general, inter-faith leaders and Pakistan-born police officials were among the participants

ISLAMABAD: Pakistani expatriates in the United States condemned on Saturday in strong terms the dastardly attack on the Charsadda’s Bacha Khan University and prayed for the dead. According to a news channel, the Pakistani community in New York City’s Brooklyn area held a prayer gathering for the martyrs of the Bacha Khan University attack. The community members held a vigil in remembrance of the victims and expressed solidarity with the bereaved families. Pakistan consul general, inter-faith leaders and Pakistan-born police officials were among the participants. A similar event was organised in the United Kingdom’s Oldham neighbourhood, where speakers stressed the need to stay united in the face of such barbaric acts.
