The horrific attack on Wednesday left the nation united in grief as people laid their loved ones to rest late Wednesday evening and Thursday morning.
Six of the students who fell victim to the atrocities on the campus were buried in their native graveyards on Wednesday.
Breakthrough achieved in identifying Charsadda attackers: DG ISPR
Shehzad, 22, a student of sociology who was in the sixth semester, was laid to rest in Shergarh, Mardan. Kamran Khan, another student from Mardan, who was residing in the hostel at the university, was buried in Spinkai area of the district.
Khalid, who was studying in the English department, was laid to rest in Harichand, Charsadda. Another deceased student, Naimatullah Wazir, 25, was doing his master’s in English at the university. He was in the second year of the programme. Wazir was the son of the assistant agency education officer of FR Bannu and a resident of Bakakhel Mandi Narmi Khel. He was laid to rest in Bannu.
Then, Charsadda happened
Muhammad Ilyas and Ahmed Kamal, were students of engineering. Ahmed Kamal’s uncle said he was talking to his family members on the phone when the militants stormed in and shot him. The two belonged to Gargari area of Banda Daud Shah in Karak and were laid to rest there in their native graveyard.
