SHO Malik Sajid said the owner of the car was being traced through the registration number
TAXILA:
Two men were able to flee after firing at policemen in the Taxila area on Wednesday while leaving their car behind. The incident occurred after Taxila police officials tried to stop a suspicious car (UD-398) at Margalla check post on GT Road. Police sources said that the cops tried to stop a suspicious car at the check post, after which two persons inside the car opened fire at the cops and fled the scene. A police party chased the vehicle and managed to stop it at Kalla Bridge by shooting out its tyre, but the suspects managed to flee. The car was impounded and shifted to the police station. SHO Malik Sajid said the owner of the car was being traced through the registration number and a case would be registered after a full investigation.
