Obituary: PPP FATA leader dies of heart attack

Mirza Jehadi was laid to rest in his native graveyard in Kurram Agency

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Fata leader Mirza Muhammad Jehadi died on Tuesday after suffering a heart attack in Islamabad.


Family members told The Express Tribune Mirza Jehadi went to Islamabad on Monday to meet party chairperson Bilawal Bhutto when he suffered a heart attack and was shifted to the hospital.


On Tuesday, his condition deteriorated and Jehadi breathed his last in the capital.


He was diabetic and was on dialysis. He left behind a wife, son and a daughter.


The PPP leader was laid to rest in his native graveyard in Kurram Agency.


Pakistan Peoples Party representatives Hamid Turi, Hashmat Bangash, Ibrar Hussain Jan, Iftikhar Hussain, Shaukat Turi, tribal leader Malik Siraj Hussain and others expressed grief and sorrow over the demise of Jihadi.


Jihadi was the brother of Parachinar councillor Haji Noor Muhammad and tribal leader Haji Asghar Hussain.
