Tragic: Old woman killed by train

RAWALPINDI: A 65-year-old woman died after she was hit by a speeding train in the early hours of Tuesday night near the Chaklala railway station. Her body was moved to the district headquarters hospital mortuary. Neither the police nor doctors could ascertain the identity of the deceased. According to Railway Police Sub Inspector Ghulam Murtaza, the old woman was crossing the railway track at around 3:30am, where she was struck by the train. The official added that the police was searching for the family of the deceased.
