ISLAMABAD:

As part of its ongoing transfer and reshuffle move, the Islamabad Police transferred three station house officers (SHOs) on Monday.

SHO Bhara Kahu Rukhsar Medhi has been transferred to the anti-car lifting cell (ACLC), and has been replaced by Haq Nawaz Ranja.

Police officials said Medhi, an upright and honest police official, was posted to the Bhara Kahu Police Station last year on the demand
of local people, who were weary of rising crime in the area.

SSP (Operations) Sajid Kiani said that Medhi has been transferred to the ACLC to utilise his expertise to help overcome vehicle thefts in the locality.

The SSP said Mehdi’s professional performance has been impeccable among his peers over the last few years.

Further, Shehzad Town SHO Syed Qaiser Gilani has been transferred to the Shalimar Police Station. The post had been vacant after the suspension of former SHO Khalid Awan.

In addition, Hakim Niazi has replaced Gilani as SHO Shehzad Town.
