The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) on Sunday foiled a bid to smuggle huge quantity of hashish to Karachi and arrested eight suspected drug smugglers on GT Road within the Morgah police jurisdiction in Rawalpindi.
On information, ANF intercepted four vehicles included two pickups and two cars on GT Road near Lahore High Court Rawalpindi Bench and seized 1250kg of hashish during their search.
ANF said, the drug which was concealed in the secret civilities of the vehicles was being transported from Jamrud, KP to Karachi. A case has been registered and investigation is under way.
