QUETTA: At least 21 people have been arrested on charges of having links with banned organisations in various raids conducted in Quetta, Mastung and Zhob. Police hauled in eight suspects from the Saryab locality of Quetta, as part of ongoing investigations into the recent killing of two policemen. Police recovered nine sub-machineguns, a stolen G-3 rifle and other automatic weapons and over 5,000 bullets from the arrested people. During the interrogation, some of the suspects identified their accomplices which led to another successful raid in Mastung, where two members of a proscribed organisation were arrested. Separately, in the north-western district of Zhob, the paramilitary Frontier Corps, Balochistan rounded up eight people allegedly linked with a terrorist outfit.
