MANSEHRA: The anti-corruption police seized large quantities of expired and fake veterinary medicines—some not meant for sale—from a medical store on Friday. Four people were arrested. Drug Inspector Tauseef Tanoli told the media he, along with the anti-corruption police and Mansehra Assistant Commissioner Nadeem Ahmed, raided Pakistan Veterinary Medical Store in Lari Adda. He said vaccines, injections, syrups and tablets meant for the treatment of animals were expired and fake, carrying stamps of government hospitals. Store owner Arif Hussain, Dr Ilyas, Dr Aurangzeb and Dr Yahya were arrested. Tanoli said the owner was selling medicines that were meant to be distributed for free among farmers.
