LAHORE: Women’s role is crucial for the economic development of a country, Technical Education and Vocational Authority (TEVTA) Chairperson Irfan Qaiser Sheikh said on Monday. “Women in the country should benefit from the courses being offered by the TEVTA in various skills,” Sheikh told a meeting that reviewed courses being offered for women. He said the TEVTA had introduced a beautician course in line with market needs. “The course will initially be offered in Lahore. The value-added course targets the trainees who have already qualified for a beautician course,” the TEVTA chief said. He said skin analysis, make-up and hair care were part of the study programme. Chief Operating Officer Jawad Ahmed Qureshi was also present on the occasion.
