DHA lahore: NAB arrests Eden Group chief on fraud charges

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has arrested Hammad Arshad, the chief of the renowned construction company Eden Group.


NAB sources told the
Express Investigation Cell that Arshad was accused of corruption of billions of rupees. He was arrested on the request of Defence Housing Authority (DHA) Lahore.


NAB personnel picked up Arshad from Islamabad.


In an application to the bureau, DHA Lahore said he has committed fraud with the housing authority. The sources did not disclose the exact amount, but maintained that the accused cheated DHA Lahore of billions of rupees.


According to some reports Arshad has committed fraud of over Rs13 billion in DHA City, Lahore.
