Misuse of power: Officials of several govt hospitals booked

Anti-corruption department director Nazar Muhammad Bodar confirmed the registration of the cases against the officials

The Sindh government's anti-corruption department has booked government hospital officials in the city over alleged misappropriation of funds.


An FIR was registered at the anti-corruption police station in Karachi against officials of the Sindh Government Hospital, Korangi, including medical superintendent Dr Khalid Bukhari, accountant Kamran Khan, assistant administrator Najam Ali Shah and store incharge Faisal Sagheer.


Similarly, another case was registered against officials of the Sindh Government Hospital, Saudabad, including medical superintendent Dr Abdul Shakoor Abbasi, accountant Asif Qadri, store incharge Majid Imran and kitchen incharge Afroze Alam. Anti-corruption department director Nazar Muhammad Bodar confirmed the registration of the cases against the officials and said three more cases will be registered against officials of three more hospitals - two in Larkana and one in Hyderabad.
