Facilitating traffic: Underpass planned near kutchery

FAISALABAD: The construction of an underpass near the district kutchery was inaugurated on Saturday. The underpass is expected to facilitate lawyers and litigants in crossing University Road.  District and Session Judge Abid Hussain Qureshi and DCO Noorul Amin Mengal were at the inauguration.  The underpass will be named the Amin Underpass to commemorate renowned lawyer and former president of the District Bar Association Muhammad Amin Shad. DSJ Abid Qureshi said the underpass will not only provide litigants and lawyers a safe crossing but will also help ease traffic congestion on the busy road. Mengal said the government would spend Rs13 million on constructing the underpass. The project will be completed in two months.
