SUKKUR:
A man was killed and two others were injured when a car fell into a stream of water at National Highway near Sangi, around 20 kilometres from Sukkur, on Wednesday night.
A jeweller, Waseem Rajput, was travelling to Pano Aqil along with his family members and friends to attend the wedding function of his brother, Asif Ali Rajput. The driver sped ahead to overtake another car but he lost control and the vehicle eventually fell into a water stream.
As a result, Waseem died on the spot and two others, Shoaib Rajput and Vicky Rajput, were injured. The body and the injured were shifted to Sukkur hospital.
Sukkur's Sarrafa Bazar remained closed on Thursday to mourn Waseem’s death. The office bearers of Sarrafa Bazar including, Haji Jawed Memon, Haji Haroom Memon, Zakir Bandhani and others expressed their heartfelt condolences over Waseem's death and prayed for the deceased’s soul.
