PESHAWAR:

ANP has demanded the government abolish the Frontier Crimes Regulation which governs the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (Fata).

Its provincial vice president said this at Bacha Khan Markaz on Sunday. He also demanded Fata be integrated into K-P. While addressing workers at the markaz, ANP K-P Vice President Imran Afridi said, “We will always raise our voice for the rights and interests of tribal people and are prepared to struggle for the cause.”

He added, “FCR is a black law for the people of the tribal areas. It violates the rights of Pukhtuns.” On the occasion, the ANP leader demanded the government for early repatriation of internally displaced persons and conduct elections in Fata.
