KARACHI:

Federal Minister of Industries and Production Ghulam Murtaza Jatoi on Wednesday reiterated that the government will soon announce the new industrial policy.

He said this while talking to industrialists at Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI), one of the largest industrial zones in Karachi.

“The government will resolve all issues regarding industrial parks and investment zones on a priority basis,” a press release quoted him as saying.

He informed that an export processing zone project of 1,000 acres will be established in Gwadar.

Jatoi said that the entire country is facing gas shortage, therefore the government is trying hard to bring in gas from both Iran and Turkmenistan as soon as possible.  He assured the industrialists in Sindh that the federal government will take all necessary steps to maintain law and order in the province.
