PESHAWAR: The woes of Shaheen Airlines seemed to continue on Monday as passengers were told their flight was delayed by 17 hours. Shaheen Airlines Flight NL722 was scheduled to arrive in Peshawar on Monday, turn into NL721 and then depart for Jeddah at 10:15pm. However, there was a significant delay in the arrival of NL721 which automatically delayed the departing flight. Officials at the regional office said NL721 was scheduled to depart at 10:15pm, but has now been rescheduled for 3pm on Tuesday (today). He added the flight was delayed due to some technical issues. When asked about alternate arrangements, the official, requesting anonymity, said the company was short on passenger planes. He added all 370 passengers had been informed about the flight delay. On December 14, the same situation led to a scuffle between passengers and the airline staffers. Mirrors of the waiting lounge were broken after flight NL-192 failed to depart on time.
