The ACE team conducted a raid at Civil Hospital, Mirpur Mathelo, three months ago and had taken records pertaining to the purchase of medicine and equipment into custody. ACE assistant director Mukhtiar Lashari told The Express Tribune that Monday's raid was a continuation of the earlier raid, during which they took into custody five years records pertaining to the purchase of medicine and equipment. "During the follow up [on Monday], we found that the ETT machine was missing," said Lashari. We are probing into the matter and, after determining who is responsible, a case will be lodged, he said.

The medical superintendent of Civil Hospital, Mirpur Mathelo, Latif Buriro, claimed that the ETT machine was supplied by the Sindh government and after opening the packing, only a treadmill was found, while the other attached equipment was missing. "We had informed the government about the matter," he said.
