Metro Train Project: LHC issues notices to govt, NESPAK

LAHORE: Lahore High Court (LHC) on Wednesday issued notices to the government, the Planning and Development Commission, the Environment Protection and Archeology Departments and the National Engineering Services Pakistan (Nespak) on a petition against the Orange Line Metro Train project. A division bench, comprising Justice Abid Aziz Sheikh and Justice Shahid Karim, also sought assistance of the attorney general and the advocate general on the matter. The bench directed the respondents to submit their replies by January 18, 2016. Kamil Khan Mumtaz, IA Rehman and Neelum Hussain have filed the petition through Advocate Azhar Siddique.
