Domestic: Investment key to sustainable growth

ISLAMABAD: Emphasis should be placed on identifying the barriers that discourage investment in the country, while reliance should be on domestic investment to drive the economy out of recession, said the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI).

“Domestic investment is one of the major determinants of sustainable long-term economic growth but domestic challenges are turning investors away,” Mahfooz Elahi, ICCI President, said while addressing the investor community here on Saturday.
