The woman in New Delhi reportedly called an ambulance several times but when she got no response, she tried Uber, according to the Times of India.
While on their way, the pregnant woman and her two friends presumed they won’t make it to the hospital and realising the urgency of the situation the Uber driver, Shahnawaz, took it upon himself to help deliver the baby.

Shahnawaz pulled out towels and a bowl for some water and the woman, Babli, gave birth in the back of the cab.
Shahnawaz then rushed the mother, two of her friends, and the newborn to the hospital for care. “The doctors asked if I was her husband,” Shahnawaz told the Times of India. I narrated the entire incident after which they congratulated me. This was one of the happiest moment of my life.”

Babli was so grateful for Shahnawaz's assistance that she invited him to her baby boy's baptism on Sunday, December 13, and asked him to choose a name for the baby. Shahnawaz, who felt honoured to have this responsibility bestowed upon him, chose the name of the name of the company he works for -- Uber.
