Three members of a family died in road accident in Shabqadar, said a police official. He said a car was hit by a coach on Shabqadar-Peshawar road early Monday morning and the collision resulted in the death of Ghareebullah, Rahmatullah and Muslim. Adil and Sadiq were injured.
The coach driver managed to escape from the scene, but the police registered a case against him. In Charsadda, dacoits raided a mobile phone franchise and snatched Rs2 million from the owner Monday evening. Police registered a case against the unidentified culprits who escaped on a motorbike.
Over in Lakki Marwat, two people, including a local PTI worker, were killed in a road accident on Monday. Police officials said Tanveer Gulzar, a local PTI worker, and Advocate Sajjad were riding on a motorbike when a passenger coach hit them at Paharkhel Thall. As a result, both of them were killed on the spot, while coach driver Shehzad suffered injuries.
