Energy meeting: Complete LNG projects on time, says PM

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Thursday called for the completion of several Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) projects within the prescribed time limit and also to ensure that all prevalent codal and legal formalities are fulfilled.


The prime minister was chairing a meeting on energy at the PM House on Thursday. He was apprised on the progress made on LNG power plants and construction of LNG terminal and other such projects.


“Transparency must be maintained while executing these projects on an urgent basis,” PM Nawaz said.


He instructed all the related ministries to facilitate and support the petroleum ministry in completing the energy-related projects on time.


Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, Petroleum Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Water and Power Minister Khawaja Asif and Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif were present at the meeting.
