Switching sides: 20 councillors, UC chairmen join PPP

KARACHI:
Around 20 newly elected independent councillors, chairmen and vice-chairmen of union councils and committees of districts West and South joined the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) on Thursday. They announced their affiliation with the PPP in a meeting held at the residence of PPP MNA Faryal Talpur on Thursday. Those who joined the PPP included four chairmen of union councils in district West and one chairman of a union committee that falls in district South.
