The government will set up a playland at Lahore Safari Zoo Park, Wildlife and Parks Director General Khalid Ayaz Khan said on Tuesday.
“The facility will be constructed on two acres of land. Work on the project will start this month,” he said, while addressing a meeting to review arrangements for visitors at Lahore Safari Zoo Park.
Lahore Safari Zoo Park Deputy Director Syed Zafarul Hassan and Headquarters Deputy Director Naeem Bhatti were also present.
Khan said that the playland would be the first of its kind in any safari park in the country.
“An agreement will be signed with a private company for starting the project next week,” he said. Khan said that Rs135 million would be spent on the playland.
He said that the private company would bear the expenses of installing additional equipment there.
