ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan has said the 'poor' performance in the recently held local government elections had helped the party identify its weaknesses.

While interacting with his followers through Facebook Mentions, a new app introduced by the social media network to engage with your followers, on Tuesday, Imran said he would visit the places where PTI’s organisational structure was weak.

During an hour-long interactive session moderated by Faisal Javed, Imran responded to questions on his official Facebook page by his followers from around the world. The PTI chief was praised and criticised alike.

LG polls worse than general elections, says Imran Khan

Responding to a question, Imran said his “first priority is Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa because we have to perform and set an example.”

Viewers of the live broadcast, on an average, were over 27,000 with the broadcast having over 10,000 likes and more than 2,000 shares. The overall views of the broadcast were over 100,000.

The PTI chairman concluded his address with a message of change, saying “there would be a revolution in 2018 elections.”

The idea of live broadcast to connect with party supporters has also been employed by Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif in the past.

raider | 8 years ago | Reply @H Chaudhry: like imran you plz admit it, we as nation reach extremes just after one election, we each time suppose to end a political party after each setback, this is not happened in democracies, bjp in india in past, and recently congress badly defeated, had there been any supposition of end by their opponents, in USA sometime republicans and some time democrats so badly defeated to score even 50 electoral votes against opponent, but they never preach that we as party will rule for ever, change your mindset for having mindset of :we will rule for ever" like mughals. pmln is governing Punjab with federal govt, Punjab incumbency factor play a lot in 3rd world countries, pmln is not ideal party to rule, local body election, and general election are not contested on same grounds with same players not even with same issues.

What happened in Cantt local bodies election did not wake top leadership up while all supporters knew. This is the outcome. The only good thing is that Imran is an honest truthful man unlike other parties heads. But once you deal with crooks you have to outsmart them and this is possible only if your subordinate leadership and workers are loyal.

Military rule is a 4th choice, but military are happy as they have real power without the effort of accountability. Imran needs to learn to be more strategic, engage brain before speaking, he would never be my choice, but of the three represents real change, but only time will tell.
