Hotel management: Governor lays stress on training youth
The hotel management and hospitality industry is creating 15 million new positions
KARACHI:
Youth should be trained in hotel management because of its global growth and employment opportunities, said Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ebad Khan, while addressing a certificate distribution ceremony for Skillston graduates. During the event, exchange programmes for the students of Hunterteff Australia and Skillston were also signed by Australian High Commissioner Margaret Adamson and Skillston’s Mohammad Amin. “Skillston is the first institution which is awarded A-grade by the National Vocational Training Commission for hospitality training and it is the first institution to enter into a student exchange programme with an Australian institute,” Amin said. The Australian high commissioner said the exchange programme between the two countries was important and “we will try to promote such partnerships in other sectors as well.” The hotel management and hospitality industry is creating 15 million new positions and Skillston is playing a vital role in training the Pakistani youth.
