Scores of members of the District Bar Association observed a token strike on Saturday in support of their demand for the establishment of a Lahore High Court (LHC) division bench in Faisalabad. DBA president Muhammad Ayyub Sialvi said lawyers of the city had been agitating for the establishment of a division bench for 15 years. He said the DBA had decided to expand the scope of its protest and would now observe a token strike on three days of a week on Friday, Saturday and Monday. Earlier, he said token strike was observed only on weekends. Sialvi said in addition to the three-day token strike lawyers had also decided to boycott courts after 12am on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
